Weaners

The weaners are offloaded at one end of the pigsty. They are examined by a veterinary surgeon. At the opposite end of the pigsty the pigs are loaded onto export trucks and transported south of the border for fattening. We trade each week with 6-8 regular pig buyers. Pigs are traded increasingly on a regular delivery contract, on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Both our pigsties are 225 m2 , each accommodating 600 pigs. The sties are equipped with watering and feeding systems, and under-floor heating.
